The event offered a first look at the Rabanne H&M collection which launches next month
H&M announced its latest designer collaboration with Spanish luxury label Rabanne last night with an exclusive launch party in Paris’ Silencio nightclub.
The event offered a first look at the Rabanne H&M collection, which includes womenswear, menswear, accessories, and home decor. It will launch in selected stores and online on November 9.
The guest list of industry insiders included Cher, Elle Fanning, Jared Leto, Damson Idris, Iris Law, Ashley Graham and Irina Shayk. The event opened with an intimate performance by Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn, followed by South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou, and a special performance from Cher.
“Rabanne has always been a joyful brand, and this event captured the playful mood of the Rabanne H&M collection. I always wanted people to feel liberated when they wear our clothes, so it was great to see guests having fun and embracing the collection's hedonistic spirit,” Julien Dossena, creative director of Rabanne, said.
Dossena was announced as creative director of Rabanne 10 years ago, and since then has reimagined the iconic label’s DNA with a focus on a new generation of customers. The brand’s founder Paco Rabanne, who passed away in February, is recognised as an era-defining creative of the 1960s whose futuristic and space-age styles propelled his success.
The collaboration follows the Swedish high street retailers earlier design partnership with Mugler in March.
“Where better to reveal a collection made for floor-filling moments than at an iconic nightclub? It was a joy to unveil the Rabanne H&M collaboration in Paris with our guests revealing the show-stopping potential of this versatile collection” Anne Sofie Johansson, head of design womenswear and creative advisor at H&M, said.
