The function of the Employment and Investment Incentive Scheme is twofold, says Mary McKeogh, tax partner with McKeogh Gallagher Ryan.
“It provides eligible taxpayers the opportunity to avail of tax relief and thus reduce their overall tax bill for the year they make the EIIS investment, and also to encourage investment in certain sectors of the economy,” she said.
