Pub group to open up to 30 outlets in Ireland

Wetherspoon is willing to open up to 30 pubs in Ireland if it can find suitable acquisitions, the chain’s founder Tim Martin has said.

Speaking to The Sunday Business Post following the release of annual results showing sales of £1.8 billion and pre tax profits of £102.5 million, the vocal Brexiteer who spent his childhood in the North also said he still believed Brexit would be good for Britain and Ireland.
