A respiratory monitor, developed by medical engineering graduate Myles Murray during his final year of study at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), proved the starting point for a venture that has since secured €4.2 million in EU funding.
Murray established PMD Solutions in 2011 to bring to market RespiraSense, a continuous monitor which alerts hospital staff to early signs of respiratory distress.
