Pitt: INM will seek further redundancies

No fixed date set for dividends as media group boss admits ‘the future of the business is still not secured’

Independent News and Media is to seek further redundancies in the next two years, its chief executive Robert Pitt has said.

Speaking as the media group released its results for the six months to June 2015, Pitt said INM would always look for ways to cut costs. The company ran a voluntary redundancy scheme for its editorial staff earlier this year, which resulted in 25 lay-offs.
