With new figures showing that as many as 14,000 people could soon lose their homes, a review of personal insolvency law is in progress. But it may not be enough, writes Emma Kennedy

Almost five and a half years ago, as 2012 drew to a close, the Personal Insolvency Act was signed into law with the promise of fresh hope for the thousands of Irish people struggling with problem debt.
