Mergers and innovation putting NCC among the cream of the co-op crop

Two mergers in 12 months have seen processing capacity at North Cork Creameries (NCC), the independent farmer-owned co-op headquartered in Kanturk, grow to 360 million litres annually.

Established in 1928, NCC merged in February of last year with Feale Bridge and Headley Bridge Co-op in Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, followed earlier this month by Newtownsandes Co-op in Moyvane, Co Kerry.
