Financial institutions are offering free stickers, stationery and backpacks to encourage children to set up accounts that allow them to see their savings grow

There are a number of options for little savers, with a range of dedicated accounts on the market.

“One of the best ways to help children learn about money management is to encourage them to open a savings account,” said Áine Carroll, director of communications and market insights for the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the state’s consumer watchdog.
