Local pirate tale inspires yogurt maker to seek his own coconut milk treasure

West Cork native Danny O’Regan set up Schull & Crossbones last July, having returned home from an eight-year stint in Melbourne three years previously.

O’Regan had graduated from UCC with a degree in dairy science in the late 1980s, and spent much of his subsequent career working overseas with producers of the starter bacteria used to make cheese and yogurt.
