Lidl Ireland set for massive expansion and investment

Having just unveiled its living wage plan, the German retailer is plotting further growth

In the 12 years since he joined Lidl Ireland as a graduate trainee, JP Scally has worked as a construction manager, a logistics executive and an operations director. Now, aged 33, he has taken the top job, and is set to oversee vast investment in the supermarket chain’s 143 Irish stores.
