US property investment group Kennedy Wilson has named an Irishman as the new head of its European business, which includes an extensive Irish portfolio of assets.

The company said that Peter Collins would take over as president of Kennedy Wilson Europe.

Collins had been director of asset management at Bank of Ireland Real Estate Investment Management before it was bought by the US company in 2011.
