Jobs on the line as RSA Ireland hit by losses of €150m and fine from regulator

The insurer RSA saw a 13 per cent plunge in sales in Ireland in the opening three months of the year.

Net premiums written declined to £52 million (€71.4 million) but the entire drop was down to declining sales of personal insurance, which fell 19 per cent when currency effects were taken into account. Commercial insurance sales were unchanged.
