Hectic and rewarding times for the IDA

It’s been a busy 12 months for the IDA, Ireland’s foreign direct investment (FDI) body. Employment stands at 199,877 jobs at overseas companies in Ireland, the highest level on record. Last year alone, 18,627 jobs were announced.

Ireland has also benefited from a record number of incoming foreign investments, with 244 in 2016 compared to 213 the previous year. New name investments are up to 99, from 94 in 2015.
