Good use of social media in response to tragedy

Within hours of the Germanwings plane crash last Tuesday, the airline had darkened its logo on Facebook and Twitter as a mark of respect. The, logo which is maroon and yellow, was changed to black and grey and the hashtag #indeepsorrow was added to it.

The Facebook page received over 1,000 comments, and became a place for people around the world to offer their condolences.
