Funds industry in Ireland goes from strength to strength
Good news notwithstanding, regulators are increasingly looking for undiagnosed risks which may be building up in the sector
It’s Ireland’s hidden industry – behind the glass-clad walls of the IFSC, trillions of euro are being channelled around international money markets. And the sum keeps on growing.
According to the latest research from funds industry research house Monterey Insight, Ireland’s funds industry continued to grow in 2016. The total amount of cash in the industry has topped $2.713 trillion, a 4.2 per cent increase on 2015.
