Finance Ireland has raised €25 million in funding from private equity giant Pimco as it looks to break into the commercial mortgage market.

The company, run by veteran banker Billy Kane, closed the capital raising last week. It has now written to shareholders calling a meeting just before Christmas to approve the deal.
