ESA to fund €1.5 million space technology centre in Tipperary
Irish company Enbio has secured European Space Agency (ESA) funding of €1.5 million to establish a Space Technology Centre in Tipperary.
Situated in Enbio’s Clonmel headquarters, the facility will make thermal management treatments, or “sunscreens”, for ESA satellites, spacecraft, and space-related hardware.
Enbio has been working with the ESA for four years to develop the products, and will create 12 new jobs this year and next as a result of the collaboration.
