Drinks group C&C was always likely to be one of the Irish companies most affected, in the short-term at least, by Brexit uncertainty and the accompanying plunge in the value of sterling.

As well as the Bulmers cider brand in Ireland, the group also owns the Tennent’s beer and Magners cider brands in Britain.
