Dermot Desmond in €10m funding lifeline for Datalex

Desmond is a long-time investor in Datalex, which develops software for airlines, and controls about 28 per cent of its stock

Software company Datalex is in talks to raise €10 million in funding from its largest shareholder Dermot Desmond.

The company said in a statement that it was seeking to raise €3.9 million through a share subscription by Desmond’s investment company IIU Nominees at €1 a share. It is also in discussions with IIU about a further €6.1 million loan facility.
