British department store chain Debenhams has reported a solid rise in sales at its Irish stores in the year to September 3, a period in which its Irish business emerged from an examinership process.

Its annual results show that revenue in the Irish business rose by more than £10m from a year earlier to £136.3m.

Debenhams Retail (Ireland) sought court protection in May but has now emerged from the process after a restructuring.
