Cork Institute of Technology has secured a €1.26 million tourism contract to develop a cruising route linking the southern county with Norway’s Arctic Circle.

The aim of the Cool Route cruising project will be to develop a coordinated yachting route that will support small coastal tourism and maritime businesses in intervening regions.

CIT will research the Cool Route’s logistical, business, and marketing requirements, with funding from the Northern Peripheral and Arctic Interreg VB Programme.
