Chicago Exchange nixes plan for Irish unit

The company which owns the prestigious Chicago Mercantile Exchange has dropped plans to set up a trading operation in Dublin.

CME Group – which operates the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade and the New York Mercantile Exchange – announced last week that it will close its London-based derivatives exchange and clearing house by the end of the year.
