Banks still seem to catch lucky breaks. Some senior bankers have somehow managed to avoid any public appearances and ride out the worst of the tracker scandal storm so far. That ends on Wednesday when AIB’s chief executive, Bernard Byrne, will give evidence to the Oireachtas finance committee about the tracker mortgage scandal.
