Asia’s richest man expands empire into Ireland

The multibillionaire who controls Three Mobile has opened a $2 billion business in Dublin as his giant conglomerate moves to break into the aviation market, according to industry sources.

Li Ka-Shing is hiring senior team in Dublin

Li Ka-Shing, the richest man in Asia for the past 20 years, has set up a company called Accipiter and is in the process of hiring its senior team.

Accipiter, named after a bird of prey, is a division of Li’s Hong Kong-based Cheung Kong Holdings and the Dublin office will be its European headquarters. It was set up following Cheung Kong’s acquisition of $2 billion-worth of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
