There is an urgent need for increased commissioning of Irish animation content from RTÉ, according to Animation Ireland’s new industry chairperson, Moe Honan.

Speaking at the annual general meeting of Animation Ireland, the representative body for animation studios in Ireland, Honan said: “While the sector continues to flourish and grow, this growth is fragile and needs to be supported and nurtured.

“We will be engaging with the government in order to build harmony ...
