Norma Foley is pushing for the free primary school books scheme to be extended to secondary schools in the upcoming budget.

The Minister for Education told reporters at the Fianna Fáil think-in in Tipperary that she was keen to see the scheme, which has been initiated for primary schools this September, extended to secondary schools. However, she also said that secondary schools would be a more complex and potentially more expensive system to subsidise.
