Minister brought to hospital after taking ill in Dáil

Proceedings were adjourned by Ceann Comhairle Sean O Fearghail until next Tuesday

The Dáil has been suspended for the day after Minister of State Patrick O'Donovan became unwell while answering questions in the Chamber.

The minister was taking a Topical Issues question when he appeared out of breath and had difficulty speaking properly, but he initially declined an offer from Ceann Comhairle Sean O Fearghail to pause business to allow him recover.
