Musgrave, the owner of SuperValu, has said levels of violence and anti-social behaviour towards its staff are at an “all-time high”.

In a statement sent to the Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the supermarket retailer said there has been upsurge in crime faced by its employees over the past two years in particular.

Musgrave, which owns the SuperValu, Centra, Donnybrook Fair and Daybreak retail brands, supports more than 41,000 jobs across 1,000 stores, ...
