JP McManus, the Limerick billionaire, has donated €1 million to every GAA county board in the country.
County secretaries around the country are receiving cheques worth €1 million in the post today, the Business Post understands, with the donation coming directly from McManus, his wife Noreen, and his family – rather than from the charitable foundation he has established.
