Electricity prices in Ireland significantly above EU average

Despite recent decreases, Dublin and London are the most expensive cities for electricity customers in Europe, followed by Prague, Berlin and Copenhagen

Electricity prices in Dublin are the highest in Europe, costing customers two thirds more than the EU average, according to new figures.

Despite a 3 per cent decrease in electricity prices in Ireland from a year previously, electricity prices in Dublin remain 66.4 per cent higher than the average in other European member states, according to the Household Energy Price Index for February 2024.
