Carton House owners fined €8,000 for wildlife offences

Clearing of protected river bank without permission led to prosecution by National Parks and Wildlife Service

Carton House is owned by Belmullet Hospitality Group Limited, which had revenue of €8.9 million in 2021.

The owners of Carton House, the hotel in Kildare which is frequently used as a training base for the Irish rugby team, have been fined €8,000 for wildlife offences in the District Court.
