Fiscal watchdog warns against overspending as election looms
The Irish Fiscal Advisory Council (Ifac) fired another warning shot across the bows of the government during the week.
The fiscal watchdog said the government “risks repeating the mistakes of the past” if it does not adhere to its own spending rules in next month’s budget.
