Brian Leddin: Building of Shannon pipeline to grow Dublin will only further punish regions

Some weeks ago I chaired a meeting between members of the Green Party parliamentary party and senior officials from Uisce Éireann in Leinster House.

During what was a positive engagement lasting about 90 minutes the representatives from our national water agency outlined the importance of their proposal to build a pipeline across the country, from the Shannon River at Lough Derg, through the Midlands and on to Dublin.
