INM says advertising market tough in early 2016

Independent News & Media (INM) has said that conditions in its markets remained tough in the first four months of this year, with continuing volatility in the print advertising market leading to a decline in overall advertising revenue.

In a statement released ahead of its shareholder meeting in Dublin, INM chairman Leslie Buckley said pre-tax profits for the full year were expected to be within the range of market expectations at this point.The group performed strongly last year, with 19.4 per cent increase in profits.
