Phelan’s ‘super angel’ fund in talks with four start-ups

Plan is to to pick 10 companies to each receive up to €1 million

A €25 million super angel fund, founded by Irish entrepreneurs Pat Phelan and Illann Power, is already in talks to give four Irish startups up to €1 million each.

Twenty-four-year-old Power, who made an eight-figure sum when he sold Angel’s Envy Whiskey to Bacardi in 2014, said that he is eager to close the fund’s initial deals within the next two months.
