Top executives at Ryanair will not receive a pay rise this year because the airline is facing significant challenges, according to a note issued to staff from its chief executive, Michael O’Leary.

Ryanair’s senior management team has seen its pay and bonuses frozen until April 2017 at the earliest. There will be no pay increase for non-crew employees earning over €100,000 per year except in very exceptional circumstances, O’Leary said.
