Earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude hits Taiwan

A 10 day old baby is among the dead in the electronics hub of southwest

At least eleven people have died and hundreds are injured following a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan.

There was carnage after nine buildings toppled and five tilted at 3.57am local time on Saturday, according to the National Fire Agency.

Local news footage showed buildings collapsed across a busy road, cars buried and rescuers pulling women and babies out of the rubble.
