Dublin Airport passenger numbers rise by 13% to 13 million in first half

The airport expects 2016 to surpass last year

Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport rose by more than 1.5 million, or 13 per cent, to just over 13 million in the first half of the year, boosted by the addition of 15 new services to its route network, airport manager DAA said.

“The outlook for the rest of the year remains positive with2016 on course to surpass last year, which was the busiest in the airport’s history," Dublin Airport's managing director Vincent Harrison said. "Dublin Airport reached a significant milestone recentlywelcoming 100,000 passengers in a single day for the first time ever."
