Debt register plan stalled by privacy fears

Data protection concerns have pushed back the introduction of a long-awaited central credit register, The Sunday Business Post understands.

Legislation providing for the establishment of a central credit register was enacted in 2013, paving the way for a database of all debts to be set up.
