CRH says first quarter sales rose by 9%
The building materials firm expects to report first-half earnings of close to €1 billion
CRH said first quarter sales rose by nine per cent and it expects to report first half earnings of close to €1 billion while continuing to make progress on earnings in the second half.
In a trading update ahead of its annual meeting tomorrow,the building materials group said sales in the first three months of the year rose by 22 per cent in the Americas, helped by very good weather in the early months of the year, while they stabilised in Europe and increased by 12 per cent in Asia on the back of strongcement demand in the Philippines.
