A funny thing happened on the way to the recall. Californian’s 40 million residents, many of whom had been suffering an acute bout of buyer’s remorse about Gavin Newsom, their governor, appear to be having another change of heart.
With the state’s recall election just over a week away, it seems that voters, having looked at the alternatives, are rapidly concluding that none of the 46 on offer is all that appealing....
