The Limerick brothers’ targeting of the Asian market leads the way for the next generation of tech entrepreneurs

Stripe has a history of making big announcements during Dreamforce week, but this one certainly topped the payments technology firm’s 2016 surprise.

The announcement that Stripe would expand into Japan came on the eve of Salesforce’s annual event two years ago. The rather bigger news that the business is now valued at $20 billion on the back of raising $245 million came out in the middle of this year’s shindig.
