The paperless office, that dream of the 1980s, never quite came to fruition. In fact, arguably we use more paper than ever, but with precious IT resources being eaten up by managing printers and the GDPR being enforced from May 25, organisations are looking toward managed document solutions, reports Jason Walsh

The arrival of the PC in the office was nothing short of a revolution. Almost as soon as they appeared on workers’ desks the nature of work itself changed: typewriters were out, but typing didn’t become passé. In fact, we all had to learn how to do it.
