Founded in 2020, Tapitag is an Athlone-based business that aims to replace contemporary business cards with one NFC card. Tapitag was set up by co-founders Ivan Eustace, John McHugh and Mark Gibbons, and currently has seven staff.

“It’s like a contactless bank card. When you tap the card off a mobile device, you can transfer information like your contact details, social media profiles, websites, brochures, or pretty much anything that can have a URL,” Gibbons told Connected.
