Revenue rises 50 per cent at Huawei’s Irish arm as it announces new CEO

Strong financial performance came despite the impact of restrictive sanctions from the US government that have made it difficult for its Chinese parent to operate

Huawei’s main Irish subsidiary has reported a near 50 per cent rise in revenue for 2022, which the company described as “a difficult year.”

The Chinese telecoms giant, which has just appointed a new chief executive for its Irish business, recorded turnover of €195.7 million last year for its Dublin-based subsidiary, compared with €132.6 million in 2021.
