Irish start-up seeking to build ‘the internet in space’ secures €17.5m in funding

Mbryonics, a Co Galway-based spacetech company, has secured a €17.5 million investment under the European Innovation Council accelerator.

The investment is to be used to establish a manufacturing, assembly, and testing facility for optics and photonics in Dangan.

Mbryonics, which was founded by siblings John, Ruth and David Mackey, is seeking to build what it describes as “the internet in space.”
