Intel seeking to raise $2bn to fund Irish chip facility – report

Chipmaker Intel is seeking to raise at least $2 billion in equity to help fund a semiconductor fabrication facility in Ireland, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The news was first reported by Bloomberg, which said the company has begun soliciting interest from potential investors for the plant.

An Intel representative declined to comment when contacted by the Business Post.
