Fujitsu, the Japanese IT services giant, has confirmed plans to wind down its Irish operation.

The company, which has significant contracts with public sector bodies both in Ireland and globally, has in recent years reduced the size of its operation locally. However, its decision to completely exit the market is still unexpected, with the company planning on maintaining just a skeleton staff as it winds down its Irish arm.
