Self-driving cars on roads won’t be a reality until at least 2035 according to the boss of one of the leading tech companies in the sector.

In an interview, Stan Boland, chief executive of Five, told the Business Post that estimates of the early part of this decade, made during the 2010s, had been proven to be overly optimistic and didn’t take full account of what was needed for the technology to succeed.
