Enterprise Ireland invests nearly €500m into venture capital funds

State agency said return on investments to the end of 2022 amounted to €304 million

Enterprise Ireland has invested €479 million into 32 venture capital funds over the last decade to support early-stage Irish companies, with €361 million drawn down to date.

Over the ten years to the end of 2022, the amount that has been repaid to Enterprise Ireland in terms of the return on investments amounted to €304 million, the agency said in response to a parliamentary question from Sinn Féin TD Louise O’Reilly.
